Home Care Services
Katy Turner

Welcome from Sarah

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am the Branch Manager of the Merseyside branch. I am passionate about my role and dedicated to providing the best care possible. My journey in care began as a frontline care worker, where I always strived to ensure the best for our service users. I am proud to lead a fantastic team across our branch, all of whom are eager to assist with any issues or queries.

As a Branch Manager, I believe in fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. My goal is to ensure that our team has the resources and training they need to deliver exceptional care. We are committed to continuous improvement and always welcome feedback from our service users and their families.

Reablement Services

We're dedicated to supporting individuals to regain independence.

Caring Connections is dedicated to supporting individuals to regain independence after illness and / or hospital stays. The organisation has a dedicated reablement service that works across Liverpool supporting some for the most vulnerable adults within our region, providing one to one tailored support to reduce the need for long term care provision.

Our charity works closely with local homeless charities to provide one to one support to those experiencing homelessness and with care needs / long term health conditions.

We have a dedicated team of reablement workers managed by Brian Nolan (Reablement Co-ordinator) whom provide the service across Liverpool hostels.

We work closely with partners Liverpool YMCA / The Whitechapel Centre / Brownlow Health in the provision of these services.

Please phone: 0151 289 2761 if you have any questions in regards to the reablement service or would like to enquire about any job vacancies.

Arranging home care

Step 1

  • Arranging homecare ideally starts with getting an assessment of your care needs by your local council. (This is vital!)

  • There’s no charge for this and you’re entitled to one regardless of your income and savings.

  • After your assessment, your local council will provide a written care plan if you are eligible for support, or will give you advice and information on your other options if you do not meet the criteria for help.

Step 2

  • Most local councils charge for the services they provide in your home. Some place an upper weekly limit on the amount you have to pay.

  • Before charging you for services, your local council must work out how much you can afford to pay and this amount should leave you with a reasonable level of income.

  • As part of this process the local authority will arrange a means test to identify if they will provide funding for home care needs.
